Sterling Silver Dragonfly Pendant with Iolite - The Dragonfly's Secret

Hammered sterling silver pendant with a lovely brass dragonfly who shares a secret with the wearer - a tiny purple blue iolite stone nestled in the back of the pendant. 

The pendant measures 1 inch (25.4mm) in diameter, and hangs from a 17 inch (43.2cm) sterling chain with a handmade shepherd's hook clasp. 

I finish the chains myself, and can make them in any length up to 21" at no extra charge.  If you would like a different length than the 17", please let me know in the notes section when you place your order.  If you wish to have a longer length than 21" for the chain, I have a listing for additional chain lengths up to 30".   Thanks!

About the Dragonfly and the Iolite stone...
Both iolite and dragonflies have special meaning for many people. Iolite is also known as the "water sapphire" and is believed by many to have special properties. Ancient mariners used iolite as a compass to guide their way to sea. They noted that it would show different hues of blue-violet when held to the northern and southern skies. Ancients also believed that it could unlock creativity in an artist.
