Hi Aubrey,

I’ll be happy to answer your questions about the gold-filled wire that I use.

The base metal for the wire is brass.

Single/Double clad refers to gold-filled sheet metal only, so does not apply to wire. For sheet, single clad means the gold is a thick layer on one side of the sheet only, and double clad is a thinner layer on both sides of the sheet. Wire, being round, has the same layer all around, so the term is not relevant for wire.

At this time, gold-filled wire is actually a bit more expensive than sterling silver because the gold price is very high at the moment. A set of 6 gold-filled bangles would be priced at $75

I can do a similar set to the Three’s Company in gold filled with a twist wire, the hammered wire, and a slightly different patterned wire than is pictured.

For gold-fill items, I guarantee that it will last at least 5 years without the gold wearing through, even if you wear them constantly.

Hi Lavender Cottage:

I have a few questions regarding the Stacking Bangles Hammered 14kt Gold-fill – Golden Lights Set of 3.

I was curious what the base metal is for the 14kt Gold fill bangles set. Also, is it single or double clad gold filled?

If I wanted to customize a set of 6, would it just be double the price ($39.50 × 2) or would it have the price of the Stacking Bangles Hammered Sterling Silver – City Lights Stack of 6 of $56.00?

Can any of the sterling silver products be made gold filled instead? Im particularly interested in the Sterling Silver Stacking Bangles in Patterned Wire – Three’s Company be made with gold filled instead.

I know that you say your products are a lifetime guarantee, would that include fading of the gold fill?
